*** Closed *** I was in the mood for a vegetarian hot dog and I was on the highway 80 corridor. Remembered Hanks was just an exit away and was disappointed to see they closed their doors. They were super nice and not manner places offer a vegetarian hot dog. Until we meet again.

We loved coming here with our kids when we came to visit our parents in Vacaville! Sad to see it's closed now

Why have I never been here?! Definitely a yummy local spot. Service was super fast and everyone was friendly. I opted out of the topics and just got a regular Italian sausage while hubby got the chicken. Drinks to go option is nice. They have outdoor seating for nice days. Prices are affordable. I'll definitely be back to try the others

Tried this place for the first time and was very pleased and walked away stuffed! Parking is easy on the street if the lot looks too full and very easy to find. Staff are super friendly and helpful and make sure to check in on Yelp for a deliciously soft chocolate chip cookie! There's a good variety of different types of sausages and sides. We went for their weekly special which was a Vietnamese inspired dish with andouille sausage, pickled veggies, jalapeños on top, and a delicious peanut sauce that really brought it together! We also ordered their potato salad which was yummy and loved the pepper in it. Then to finish things off, we had to get the pretzel that comes with some pretty spicy mustard and an amazing soft cheese spread that I want to put on everything! Will definitely be back with more people.

The power of Yelp did it again. I discovered another awesome business by way of my Yelper friend that lives in the Vacaville and Fairfield area. "Hank & Hazel Really Good Sausage", in Vacaville, CA, serves up darn delicious house made sausages and hot dogs. And they do it with staff that know how to deliver on customer service. This place has great sausages and dogs, good pricing, and friendly vibes. Right when I walked in the joint, I could tell this place is something special. The staff was super welcoming. The woman at the register had loads of personality and was a hoot. The sausages are house crafted by the owners with local sourced meats. The brioche buns are made by a local bakery down the road. They have local crafted beers. They also offer home made hand held pies baked by local bakers. Did I use the word "local" enough? I ordered the cheddar wurst sausage and hubs ordered a stadium dog. Both were grilled as were the rolls. The rolls had beautiful grill marks. Each the sausage and dog had a nice snap. Great flavors. The sausage had a nice infusion of cheddar. I got a free chocolate chip cookie when I checked in on Yelp. They put it in a paper bag with the cutest darn free hand art with a "dad" joke written on it. Luved it! The cookie was yummy. The place took over what looks like a good ole fashion hamburger stand. They have an on-site restroom. There is no indoor dining area though, they have a covered outdoor patio and an additional outdoor picnic area past the back parking lot. Right now there are heat lamps on the covered patio and probably in the warmer months they will be switched out for fans. Well I suppose I need to revisit them to find out for sure.

Our cousin, who was visiting from the Bay, was curious to try the sausage even though we just had a brunch. So, we did a short walk from downtown to there. After we ordered inside, we sat at the covered outdoor dining area. There was a self-service water & condiments on the small table. - Spicy Italian with chilli dog upgrade: delicious! The bun was soft. The sausage wasn't that spicy but was juicy and delicious. The chili dog was a good combo with the sausage. - Smoked IPA beer brat: good and flavorful sausage but I prefer the spicy italian. Overall, good sausages and we would come back the next time we are in the area. Tips: check in to Yelp to get a free chocolate chip cookie

A solid and really great little spot for a tasty hotdog! They offer a nice variety options for their sausages. I tried their spicy chicken mango which was very tasty! They have toppings on the outside of their store so you can add-on items like sauerkraut, ketchup, mustard, relish, mayo, and chopped onions. I also got a pretzel on the side and it tasted great. They have beers, cookies, chili, and a few more items on the menu that's worth checking out!

Hidden Vacaville Gem! Great halfway point when heading out of Sacramento towards the city. Variety of hand made sausages and fresh beer on tap. We love stopping for a duck and pork sausage, but always try the special. It ain't no Costco prices but it's worth it. Today I tried the chicken mango sausage, sweetness of the mango balances out the habanero nicely per the recommendation of the staff.

Outdoor patio is covered for inclement weather. Seating consists of long picnic tables and benches. After paying inside staff bring out your order. Sausages were hot and fresh. Buns taste slightly sweet and are warmed. Love the spicy hot dog and spicy mustard (costs $.50 extra). Sausage menu changes daily. Fountain drinks are too watered down. Next time we'll opt for bottled or can drinks. Staff aren't overly friendly or helpful but they seemed pleasant enough. Overall a nice experience and meal!

Every now and then I have a hankering for a good ol sausage. After a handful times I can tell you from experience why I do love this place! There are a few parking spots, but fret no need if it is full. There is free street parking that is within walking distance. First timers, go in to order and choose the open seating of your choice. Right out front they have picnic style tables and past the lot are seating that reminds you of a backyard. Our favorite spot are the individual seats that face the streets of Vacaville. Such a relaxing view of the passing cars while you dine outside. When it comes to creativity Hank and Hazel's definitely excels in that category! From cold soba with duck and pork sausage to a pasta themed special they have quite a few ideas. As with every person and preference you can find something just for you on their diverse menu! I will say my two favorites have been the Wisconsin cheddar bratwurst and the taco Tuesday special (not always the same). A lot of their sausages are full of savory flavor without being salty. When it was taco Tuesday I loved the spices and textures of the "taco." The side of tasty black beans was a nice touch! Don't forget your toppings and condiments of sauerkraut, yellow mustard, mayonnaise etc. It makes a difference! Drinks! You can't have your sausage without cold beer. They just go hand in hand together! Recommendations they have suggested are always a hit for me and my husband. They even had a peach sangria that I enjoyed a lot. It would have been more amazing if it was more chilled. You can get sides of the usual suspects like pretzels and potato salad as well. In terms of pricing they are very reasonable. Yes, yes you can go to Costco and get a hot dog with a drink for a dollar and some change, but here you get a delicious sausage that is made from scratch. In my book it is all about the quality! Are you on social media? You can keep up with them on their instagram at hankandhazels. They always post the latest of their greatest! Also on their website hankandhazels.com you can find more about their hours of operation and even information on catering. It took me a long time to make my way to Hank and Hazel's Really Good Sausage. Don't make the same mistake and try it soon!
